It's kinda odd that for this 6 months secondment, I have only wrote 2 blogs... maybe it is beyond the words to say how wonderful it has been or maybe it is my laziness to actually sit down, think through and put my feelings to words...

 

The first 3 months of the secondment was a hectic travelling period, always with early morning flights by Easyjet (Stansted, Gatwick, Luton, you name it!)... getting up at 3 or 4 in the morning to get the cab is a norm for weekends and usually the pics for the first day of my trip are a bit shabby coz I was just too exhausted to be glamorous or euthusiatic... 

 

I have been to: Stratford-upon-avon, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Leiden, Brussel, Berlin, Zurich, Bern, Lucern, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Highland, Manchester, Cambridge, Rome, Venice, Milan, Prague, Munich, Salzburg, Paris, Stockholm, Oxford, Bicester, Reykjavik, Winsor and of course, London. 

 

So every time I called my parents, the normal line will be " so where are you going this weekend?" or "when are you flying again?"

 

June was the crazy shopping month when Selfridges and Harrods and all the chain stores on the high streets were having huge sales...  Westfield is always a nice place to go for late night shopping~~~

 

July was the friendship month when I checked out quite a long of restaurant on friends' recommendation... loads of good places and very good deal with the "credit crunch sales"

 

August was a bit tough with all the packing going on and the hustles for tax free claims and of course, the sadness that I am leaving London...

 

But to sum up, it was a hell of a good 6 months!!!  And now I am just so glad I will be back with my families and friends in Asia again~~
